Where to park my vehicle while I’m checking in the camp?
Upon your arrival you are greeted by the parking staff. They remind you of everything you need to take to the reception desk for your check in process and show you where and how to park in the temporary parking lot.
What to bring to the reception desk?
- 100 euro deposit (in cash)
- booking and/or reservation number
- ID
- plate number
The temporary parking lot is set up right next to the reception desk. If you follow the directions of the parking staff carefully, you should have no trouble parking your car.
At the reception desk you receive a GPtents parking permit. This permit is to be displayed behind the windshield of your vehicle. This is to make sure the parking staff knows you have paid for parking and are allowed to park in our campsite.
If you are about to leave the camp in your vehicle and are coming back later, make sure you do not forget your parking permit. You have to show it to the parking staff everytime you are re-entering the camp. This precaution is made for security reasons as well.
Note that the temporary parking lot can fit only a certain amount of vehicles at a time. That is why you are directed to repark your car right after your check in process is done.
FAQ: Do I pay the parking fee for every day I stay in the camp?
Depending on your booking you either have parking included in the price of your accommodation or have to pay for it beforehand online with your booking or at the site. It is a one-time payment and the price is the same for 1 night as well as for 5 nights.
Where do I park my vehicle as a Hotel Tents guest?
As a Hotel Tents guest, you park your car at a parking lot near the forest. It is located at the top of a smaller hill within a walking distance to the tents.
You can access your car anytime easily and you can of course drive out the camp if you need to. Note that you might not get the same parking spot when you come back though, as our parking staff is making sure the cars are lined up nicely and there are no empty spots between them.
In case you are riding your bike, don’t worry – you do not have to park it up the hill. We have a special motorbike parking lot right behind the reception desk downhill, where the parking staff and security guards are located.
Once again, the sooner you arrive at the camp, the better parking spot closest to the tents you’ll get!
Where do I park my vehicle as a Camping guest?
For our Camping guests the parking issue is very easy – you just park your vehicle on your camping pitch!
In case you are coming with more than one vehicle, disclose this information in the booking form. Depending on the size of the camping pitch you have booked and the size of your vehicles, you might need to book an extra parking spot for your car on the lot up the hill.
For example if you're coming with a car and a trailer as seen in the picture above, you have to make sure it will fit strictly on your camping pitch. You can try unhooking the trailer and parking the car right next to it.
If it fits and does not go over the line of your camping pitch or blocks the main road, you're fine. In case it does, you have to book an extra parking spot for your car.
My car or motorbike is very expensive – what to do?
If you are worried about your vehicle, you can discuss this issue at the reception while you’re checking in. FIND OUT MORE ABOUT OUR TOP TIER CONCIERGE SERVICE!
For those who drive luxurious cars or ride expensive motorbikes we have established a special parking lot located within the eyesight of the receptionists and security guards.
Besides the staff and GPtents guest no one can enter the camp as it is a private area. The campsite is also fenced on all sides, so you do not have to worry about anything.
Fun fact: The most expensive car that has ever been parked in our camp was Aston Martin Vantage V12 worth over €220,000.
